QANTAS Aircraft Changes Syd to Cairns

I have flights coming up from Syd to Cairns in Sept on weekdays at 9:30am. When I booked as far as I could see the 9:30am flight was always an A330. I notice some flights have changed to a B737. One of my flights was an A330 and appeared close to full, departing just prior to school holiday start. Now it says it is a B737 but my seat selection still shows row 48 (which does not exist on a B737).
I have seen from other discussions the A330s are regularly servicing the Darwin routes.
Are they being pulled from the Syd to Cairns to service this or other routes?
I need to make this flight time. Is it likely that I am going to get bumped?

Either you get bumped, or you get squashed into row B/E, ie, they in the end change your preferred seat.
Don't forget the wording "for operational and security reasons, your seats are not guaranteed..." or something like that.
