Hi guys,

I thought there may have been a thread about this already but did a search and couldn't find one so perhaps not.

I read a couple of weeks ago about this partnership

Air France and Qantas renew partnership to offer customers more travel options between France and Australia

which I thought was exciting as this may be a way I can try the famed AF F ground service and lounge at CDG whilst still earning full QF points and experiencing QF F lounge in MEL all on the one ticket.

However I did a search just now on the QF website for MEL-CDG for April 2019 and was hoping to find some AF options via SIN/CDG as the media release suggested however all I get were options on QF, BA and EK metal.

Does anyone know what's going on ? Has anyone been managed to see these AF options on the QF website ?

Cheers

What happens if you just search for SIN-CDG?

Did you read media release ?

The whole point of the partnership is so pax can have another option to go to Europe and with this partnership you're meant to be able to fly aus-sin/hkg on QF metal then sin/hkg to cdg/europe on AF metal all on the one ticket.

Surely i don't have to search sector by sector or do a multi city search for this to work ?

Does Red Roo still make AFF appearances from time to time ?

There may be a delay in getting the flights uploaded to the system or the necessary regulatory approval.

Supposedly available for booking from 5 June. Maybe with the recent website issues there's a delay?

I certainly did read it, which is why I suggested the single sector search to see if the inventory existed.

You posted a problem and I was trying to help you narrow it down.

I can see options for October; SYD-CDG

Can see some access to AF codeshare MEL-SIN-CDG on random dates I picked. Only in Y & J. Not in PE or F on those dates.

According to Expertflyer "typical" availability on QF 4221 (SIN-CDG) doesn't show any F fare classes:
J9 C9 D9 I0 W9 R9 T3 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9

No QF code coming up on Expertflyer for HKG-CDG.

Maybe agreement doesn't include codeshares for First Class?

The write up by Ausbt suggested that F was part of the deal but I guess they could have been mistaken ?

Qantas, Air France back in codeshare liaison for flights to Paris

I tried this suggestion but the search engine didn't even let me enter in CDG as a destination with SIN as the origin.
Same with TXL/MAD/BCN etc. Hmmmmmm.

Hmmm indeed. Is it possible the flights may not have been coded by QF yet?

Tell me about it lol !
I've yet to meet someone who's flown AF F and hated it :D
They must not have used any of their airport lounges. (Every AF lounge I've gone in has been cough - worse then the SIN T1 Danta lounge, or the pre refit AA domestic lounges)

Have you flown AF 77W/La Premiere in F and tried their lounge at CDG ?

Supposed to be one of the worlds best F experiences

I am ignorant. I have always avoided Air France, considering them a second rate airline in safety, etc. But are they actually good in F? Soft/hard product, not the whole perceived safety thing? If so, gives me a new challenge :)

I used QF2 SIN-SYD yesterday/this morning and was interested to hear that some of the announcements were repeated in French. So I guess French speaking flight attendants on QF1/2 for the SIN/SYD sector must be part of the partnership?
