Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

Yep, got to 76 knots per FR24 and then came to a very quick stop.

Meanwhile, QF64 landed 3 hours late as we were taking off and QF11 is now delayed by those 3 hours. Having a mare today is Qantas in Sydney. Everything domestic is late as well, we an hour late to Melbourne on QF469.

No didn’t give much detail at all but heard one of the cabin crew say a flight control screen went blank.
BTW did the original crew eventually operate the flight to Singapore or was a new crew called in to operate the delayed service?

Yes, same crew. A few passengers opted not to fly and suspect it might have been down to not really much info on the issue. Think they could have been a bit more reassuring for nervous flyers potentially.

That's a bit sad.

Agreed. I was a really nervous flyer until my friend who is a QF pilot sat me down and explained everything!
I was the opposite - had never been on a plane until I was 18 and flew BWT-MEL-BKK-FCO-CAI by myself and just went with the flow - coming from a small town in Tassie I had never heard the call to prayer either until I landed in Cairo and heard it for the first time - and promptly wondered WTF is that? Nothing like landing in a foreign country for the first time clutching passport and the Lonely Planet guide but having absolutely no clue!

QF11 left gate at 10:40pm and took off close to 11:30pm out of SYD. Not too sure if leaving the gate before 11pm qualifies as tacking off to beat the Sydney airport curfew?

Pre-curfew Taxi Clearance

An aircraft may take-off during a curfew period if the pilot has requested and received taxi clearance from Air Traffic Control for the take-off before 11.00pm local time. Note that push-back clearance is not taxi clearance. If the aircraft has not been granted taxi clearance prior to 11.00 pm, a curfew dispensation must be requested.

So what did he explain happened?
Just said there was an issue the engineers needed to work through and reset. Then when we were told to deplane he said “the powers at be” wanted further checks to be made. When we got back on he said - we are all clear and should make up some time on the way up.
