EBV had wifi well before this service.EBV only had wifi done as part of a check. Any cabin update will come with the usual QF media announcements and pictures.
I don't think EBA was ever in the scope for a refurb?VH-EBN now at over a week in BNE so the next possible BNE comments.
Interesting comments on airliners.net that VH-EBA is receiving a heavy C8 check at QPG, so possibly back in the frame as a refurb candidate just because that's a major investment, despite the relative age.
EBA isn't going to get a refurb. It the 8 intl ones (EBM/N/O/P/Q/R/S/V) and likely two of EBJ/K/LVH-EBN now at over a week in BNE so the next possible BNE comments.

I think everyone had always counted it out due to age.. But if it's having $$s spent on the equivalent of Boeing D-check, maybe that changes things and instead it's an aircraft that doesn't have its next heavy check until the late 2020s retired first.I don't think EBA was ever in the scope for a refurb?
Certainly a big investment for such an old aircraft. I would assume they want another 5 years out of it, I know they are stretched for widebody fleet but that is certainly desperate.Interesting comments on airliners.net that VH-EBA is receiving a heavy C8 check at QPG, so possibly back in the frame as a refurb candidate just because that's a major investment, despite the relative age.
I think thats what they would like to do- but until they start receiving the b787 and a350 to start replacement, we might see a few oldies hang around longer. Doesn't make much sense to take more 330 permanently offline right now.Certainly a big investment for such an old aircraft. You would think they would scrap it for spares to keep the rest in a stronger position until they cycle out the whole fleet.
Another P2F is on our wish listYou would think they would scrap it for spares to keep the rest in a stronger position until they cycle out the whole fleet.
Would not be surprised if the RAAF get money in the budget to expand the MRTT fleet.think everyone had always counted it out due to age..
