All seems a bit underwhelming compared to other airlines? BA did a pretty good job...double avios promos, special fares, planes in retro liveries.

QF is selling us some coins.

And some odd claims like being the first airline to fly round the world via both hemispheres... assuming the only hemispheres are north and south, rather than also east and west? (Although i suppose a RTW has to be via both east and west hemispheres, but it just seems to be dumbing us down a bit...)

And I'm still not convinced we take the spirit of Australia 'further'. But that one's touch and go.

I’ve given up hope of ever seeing QFi from ADL again and besides that we have better airlines to service our needs here

QF is selling us some coins.

I like the look of the coins. There is also a "Golden Ticket" competition with the coin sets, each with a prize of 100,000 QFF points.
Each Golden Ticket is valued at $4080, which is about about $0.04c per point. If I could get 4 cents for redeeming QFF points I would be happy.

Now that was an AFF event, sending off the SYD-ADL flight in style en-route to SIN.

Could always do a AFF meet up at Longreach and go out to the Qantas Founders Museum, especially once the roof goes over the 747&707. Im sure there will be a big shin dig happening for that out there!

I just read the second article, and tears welled up in my eyes, I could barely contain my emotion.

But then I had a sip of wine and managed to escape the hype.

Albanese says Qantas has never had an accident? Sorry, but as all real aviation enthusiasts know, the fabled Qantas record is something that is made using culled stats - ie they only ever had fatal accidents on their prop aircraft.

I bet that our senior pollies do not actually understand the Qantas history.

(P.S. This is nothing political _ I actually love Albanese, despite never having voted left since Hawke )
