Hi,
These may seems like stupid questions, however after reading the QF tncs, its sill slightly murky, want to check if my assumptions are correct.

I'm back at 0 SC now. I'll have 560 by the end of feb and will be a 300 something over LTS. Note I live overseas and taking qantas flights now is a royal pain in the....

q's..

- Do I need the 4 QF segments to get lifetime silver? I assume no?
- Do I need the 4 QF segments to get silver for the year? I assume no, since I'll have LTS
- Do I need the 4 QF segments to get Gold or platinum for the year + next? (i'll get to gold easily, platinum maybe) - I assume YES?
- Do you just keep accruing status credits waiting for the 4 QF segments to hit and then you get your status awarded? Not sure how this works?
- Once LTS, what happens then? In regards to silver status, I assume nothing (ie you dont start each year with a 'base' of silver SC? ie to retain gold each year I still need 600 SC + 4 segments until I hit LTG?

Thanks!

1. No
2. Correct, LTS
3. Yes
4. Correct
5. You assume correctly. Still need 600 & 4 segements for SG

Can you get the "Qantas [group]" flights in the region where you live?

Jetstar flights that earn ~ also count to the 4.

If you do need to visit Australia to get the 4 QF sectors from where you are note that if you fly indirect e.g. via MEL to SYD each way you can get 4 QF sectors on the one return trip.
