Public Transport to our airports - what's cheapest?

Uber or taxi.

Going back to the Launceston one, now that is a real take on making money.

Thanks everyone - I flew in for a lunch today.

Uber into the city was AUD 32, and showed up in less than 2 minutes; Uber back was AUD 28 and was also quite prompt. Yep - in a way pricey for a 10 - 12 minutes drive but honestly the only real option besides taxis that charge even more.

The bus stop is quite a walk and the bus shows up like every 2 - 3 hours in practice...

Launceston - the food was great though, and worth a "life time" trip!

Love their icy cold weather in LST.
Took MEL PTV 479 and 901 by bus to try my first Aust today at 7 eleven Mickleham and Catherine Ave outlet.
No 7 elevens in Adelaide.
$3.50 zone 2 max fare, didnt go into zone 1.

Yeah, guys. I'm flying into LST in the not too distant future. Done it before and got ripped off royally by Uber/taxi from the last flight of the day

This time I'm renting a car. Then I have to find a place to park overnight in Launceston, Lovely place, really.

Slightly OT:
Those taxi (wallas) or touts are still at MEL airport.
AFP couldnt care less.
Its ghe nen with iphobes in grey ciat and pants.
***
(((Trying the Skybus to the Peninsula.
$$$ I know.
Has a separate stop at T4 if anyone ever wants it.

I don’t think the AFP would have any jurisdiction over taxi touts anyway?

According to this video, it's an option at Busselton to walk 3km from the terminal along a highway without a footpath to a school in a nearby suburb, then if you're lucky like he was, the driver of a school bus full of children might let you board:

I'm not planning on trying that one myself.

Supposedly they and the ptvv can fine the touts $10k.

The Skybus Peninsula bus is ok, expensive, but bypsssed all our friends at Broady and Moonee.

Please don't try this at home people. After what came to light with children safety, I don't think any bus driver would let a stranger onto a school bus anymore!

Aha, this article, says its legal for touting at MEL Tullamarine.
Guess that since uber took over out the very front, and the taxis got stuffed to the bus park area, under the multistorey building, the taxi touts are now outside the front, near the uber rank, and near the Skybus rank.
Another one I read says, under safetravelvictoria, that its illegal.
===
Also by the looks of it, its a long walk to Ciloms at Tulla too.
But the cheapest, and easiest, from an Aus airport to the city, would be ADL. offpeak at $2.55 adult per 2 hr, then BNE (which needs you to get the orange bus to Skygate first, then), $0.50 from there to Toombul and then anywhere else on the public transport network for 2 hrs too.

Change from orange bus to Bne council bus at Skygate. Make sure the bus is signed Toombul. Change there for other buses or cross road to train station. You can buy a "Go Card" from Bargain Mania, located inside shopping center behind the bus stop.
