Public Holidays In NZ are things open or is everything shut.

Quick question to our NZ based AFFers about NZ public holidays. In general are most things shops, attractions etc on NZ public holidays or does everything shut. I have to change some dates later in the year and would like to understand if I need to work around public holidays.

Retail and hospitality generally open, banks shut except Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day. Most shut those days but some eateries usually open.
