Hi All,

Had a JASA booked from MEL-SYD.

Needed to change return leg to earlier flight. U availability on new flight so changed via phone no problems. Paid 3k points for service - not really a problem but annoying since seemed to me to be impossible online.

Only problem is that the outbound leg has now credited as a classic award with no points or SC. I'm about to call and ask them to review, but just wondering if this is common or if I've made an error?

It happens, a quick call will sort it!

I thought domestic JASAs had fully flexible business conditions, and therefore no change fee applies for making changes through the contact centre?

I've changed JASAs over the the phone many times (I check U availability on the new flight I want and call) and there's never even been a hint of a charge.

Is this new?

(and yes, I've had the problem where the changed flight has credited as a classic award, but a quick call like markis10 suggested gets it fixed)

I changed a JASA segment recently and was quoted a 3K point change fee - I noted it was an any seat (and was prepared to recite the fee free changes in the fare rules but did not need to) and shortly thereafter received an apology.

The 3K fee is generally only for classic awards, so you have probably been incorrectly charged as well as one leg been changed to classic.
