Problems paying Signature monthly subscription

I joined Signature two months ago and the first two monthly payments came out without any problem. However this month I have tried Amex, Visa and Mastercard, all of which are way below their limits, without luck. For all three I am told that the provider will not accept the charge.

Just wondering if anyone else has had the problem and if so, how you overcame it?

Hi @Townsend I was wondering if you had any luck with this? I also joined Signature in May, and the first payment was fine, but I just received a notice that the second payment, due today, was not successful. Sounds like the same problem, and I too have no idea how to resolve it.

Afraid I haven't seen this before. I pay with Amex annually and it has never been denied.

I'd try asking my bank whether they are seeing the transaction attempt at all, and if not, then pushing it further with ALL support...

Sorry I can't be of more help...

Did I read somewhere this is a Brazil based program? Perhaps a Wise bank account would help? (Not saying you have to convert to local currency, but just that it tends to deal with international transactions commonly).
Good idea but wise isn’t good for this - you can’t use a debit card for these payments, only a credit card.

I paid with my Commbank Mastercard and immediately got a fraud alert -- but they let the payment go through and I confirmed it was legit (apparently in that order).

I must admit I was trying to query why my charges were blocked on a weekend and I was told to ring back on Monday. By then I had worked out the Amex fix. the Mastercard was Qantas cash (yes I know) and the Visa was St George.

Had an email back today from Accor suggesting that my bank might be blocking the charge. Said they would re-attempt the charge on 21 June.

It’s not a bank, but an Amex, so I called Amex and they said they could see an attempt by ALL Signature for 1 Brazilian Real, but it was blocked because the expiry date entered by the merchant did not match my card. Now that’s just weird AF because the first charge went through fine in May, so I don’t know why there would have been a different date used for the June charge. Anyway, I followed instructions and “updated my payment details” and got a green tick. Yesterday I did that and got a ❌. So hopefully that all goes through on 21 June or else it’s more time on the phone, and still no points that I am writing to use to book upcoming travel. Grrrr.
