Has anyone ever come across this issue before?

On Wednesday I have attempted to purchase 6 x bottles of Pommery which is on sale currently (stacked with PCP discount)
- card charged $410 but order did not get processed and website redirected me to the payment page

I called them Thursday and they were not sure what happened. They said they would process a refund and advised me to try to purchase it again on their website. So I did - and the exact same thing happened. My card got charged $410 and the order was not processed.

Now quite annoyed, I rang Qantas Wine again today and was assured both transactions would be refunded to my Visa within 3-5 business days. He also offered to process the transaction over the phone with my, trying a different card just to be sure (not that I have ever had issues with my BOQS Visa Signature anywhere else). He then tried to process this purchase twice on my Amex Platinum and the same thing happened again BOTH TIMES.

I now have $1640 of pending charges across two cards and am no closer to being able to purchase some bloody champagne for Christmas. The agent was not able to explain to me what went wrong and said he will escalate it to their IT department.

Has anyone managed to purchase some Pommery?!

I’ve had that issue before, multiple deductions - although I did actually get wine sent. It was just a nightmare to get my money back.

Separately, my latest order from two weeks ago, I’ve not received bonus points and my wine has been sent from Sydney to Melbourne via Perth - really happy $600 worth of wine will spend three weeks of summer in a truck.

Thats a bit sad. When I did buy wine thru QF, and being in Perth, it was usually delivered within a week and the points arrived a day or two after delivery. Have to say that was pre CV19.
