Problem with Qantas booking engine?

For the last few days I've been trying to book AKL-JNB return on the Qantas website and keep getting an error message saying no flights are available, yet sometimes it comes up with a fare, but no flights are selectable. The dates I'm trying are March 31 2018 returning April 25 2018. Anyone else had any issues like this the last few days?
 
Expert flyer shows what I would expect as "normal" availability, though the W cabin might be "pricey".
Google flights which is normally reasonable with QF fares is showing $6000+.

Might be worth a call?

I'm not sure if this is related but - in the booking screen where flight options are showing - I can't click on anything related to Frequent Flyer login, eg. "View in Points" or selecting a Classic Reward seat. The page seems to want me to login, but I am already logged-in. Options just remain greyed out.

I did the usual with cookie clearance, "turn it off and back on" and then login again only to get this:

I wrote an e-mail to Qantas informing them of the problem and they wrote back promptly to say that they were aware of some current issues with the website and suggested some fixes. Might be worth getting in touch with them.
 
Qantas is certainly not alone in this, but in this day and age a sporadically working website costs significant dollars. Lost count of the number of times I have booked elsewhere because of website and booking engine failure.
 
I've had so much problem with their booking engine. Today, trying to check on domestic flights Sydney / Armidale for March prior to booking. After too long a delay, I finally get the March date entered for outward flight, then it throws me into booking RTW before I can put in a return date. I'm using my laptop, Window7.

Also, tried to change my home phone number to a mobile number, but when I put in the mobile number it keeps asking for an area code.

Got onto chat for both issues, but as usual, take forever so I cancelled.

Their whole website has become a real problem over the past few months. Unfortunately, I'm often locked into Qantas, but if they don't get their website working properly, I'll be flying other airlines.

Agree - it has been very tricky the past few months.
 
Oh dear. Work experience kids at it again. Definitely logged in. Need to check/book flight. This is what I get after clicking Search!

I ended up with four bookings yesterday. Each time got through to payment page and it just spins. The PNRs were created but never went through to payment.

oh thank-you - I thought I was going crazy. That is exactly what happens. After a few hours the booking get released. So what have you done? I tried phoning but there is a long wait. I have sent them a Facebook message and included a photo of the stupid page....

That has happen to me quite a few times. Reopening qantas.com on another tab always get rid of the issue.

On the other hand, I've still got my "on hold" reservation from Nov that's to be travelled on the 30/3 linked to my account and it shows confirmed in app!

I would if it was revenue, but all I am trying to do is a stupid award booking from Canberra to Sydney and I wasted half the day on it, thinking it must work this time! Qantas IT is just useless! Given Pushka had the problem yesterday that is 48 hours and still an issue.....
 
Strange - the rooster and I just did (last hour) tandem bookings (him, revenue / me, award) for a few family holidays. All good at this end.

. No idea - maybe Queenslanders are exempt. :). Will try again tomorrow, but I tried all day on a variety of devices, including through the Qantas app. I might try using my account instead of Mr FMs and see if that makes a difference.....Why would we expect Qantas to have a consistent error - they are not consistent with anything else.
 
I had a completely different issue on Monday. Trying a mulit-city search SYD-SCL-LIM-MEX-LAX-SYD , which incidently, I didn't expect the QF search engine to be able to do, but I tried anyway. Upon pressing search, kept getting a message that it will have to take me the Chinese version of the QF site to complete this??
Double checked everything in the search. All ok.

Logged out, cleared everything, logged back in. The same again. Logged out, re-booted laptop, same again. Gave up for a while, went back a couple hours later, it worked, but as I expected it couldn't do it and gave me an error message. On the phone I go :rolleyes:
 
Tried again this morning using my FF account instead - same problem.. Tries to go the payment page and hangs. Booking is in my FF account, but it will disappear as it hasn’t been paid for. Currently a rep from the Facebook page has returned my message and said she will try and make the booking.....beats phoning I guess.
 
It's full of bugs as anyone who has used it for any length of time will know.
