Hi all, does anyone have any experience of redeeming KF miles for NZ flights? I'm trying to redeem miles for a Trans Tasman booking with NZ. When I search with KF online I see plenty of availability, but when I select my flights and then click "Proceed to Payment" I get an error message saying: "We cannot process your request right now. Please try again later, or get in touch with your local Singapore Airlines office".

I'm wondering if this means the flights are not actually available after all, or if there is just glitch that prevents them from being booked online. Has anyone successfully redeemed KF miles online for NZ flights? Or indeed any *A partner award booking?

I know I can phone SQ, but I hate dealing with them on the phone, especially when it comes to making a booking for multiple people, as I know it will take all day.

Maybe cross check with availability with United? You don’t need to be a UA member there to check availability. Having said that once I was trying to book an NZ award using UA miles and errorred after I submitted payment details - due to phantom availability.

Thanks - I checked UA and the flights are showing as available there too, so I guess that increases the chances that the availability is real. Anyway, I guess I'm gonna have to call SQ!

I am looking at transferring some Velocity points to Krisflyer points to fly from Sydney to Vail in Early Jan. When I search on Krisflyer I don’t see any flights only SA options, do I need to first search on UA and if so am I looking for a saver/award fair?
Any advice would be appreciated

I book a fair few flights through SQ for NZ flights and have had this a lot recently, my advice is just ring, they are pretty quick and efficient. The flights were alsways available in my experience.
