Problem connecting to US Streaming Services

I'm a keen golfer and regularly watch the US PGA tour on Kayo. In 2025 Kayo (read Foxtel) changed the TV broadcasters to ESPN. Personally I find the commentators and general coverage on ESPN boring and not a patch on the commentators from CBS, Golf Channel and NBC. I suspect its a cost saving move by Foxtel.
I've tried to set up a subscription to a few US broadcasters to access the better broadcasters but keep hitting a roadblock. Using a VPN I can set up an account on Peacock or NBC but when I put my credit card in it isn't accepted. I assume because it recognises my card in non US. Is there a work around this that doesn't involve trying to apply for a US credit card?

Is it the Zip/Postcode that is tripping up the system? I have in the past had problems using the standard Australian postcode with my Aus credit card, but adding a zero in front made it better?
