Priority Privilege worth it?

I am trying to work out whether to get PP or not. I am currently not subscribed to PP. I was going to stay at CP Hunter Valley for 3 nights at Easter long weekend, but given I need to pay for my own Breaky, lunch, dinner, I thought of subscribe PP to get the vouchers. Can anyone provide any experience on BOGO and also restaurant discount at CP HV? Also do those vouchers/certs have restrictions of not able to use it over Easter holidays?

Finally, can anyone check whether BOGO rooms are available at the Easter long weekend for CP HV? Thanks.

Here are the BOGO rooms available, you would need to ring the resort to see if the restrictions are applied to dining over Easter, stayed there earlier this year and its a nice resort but would recommend a villa if you can, the eatery near the pool is great value:

How often do PP come out with a new newsletter - is there somewhere on this forum where they are posted so we can see what sort of deals they offer? TIA :)

I renewed my PP Membership about ten days ago. I responded to a promotion email, that offered an additional voucher, and entry to a competition for a $600. plus stay at any IC property in Australia, NZ or Fiji.

Today, I got my pack.

Included ( for the $299. ) was a $100. dining voucher + the regular $50. voucher ( which can be used for discount off the total hotel bill ).

Something different this time ...

Apparently, all renewing Members will get all their vouchers as 'transferable'. That's the 2-4-1; the 'Member for a Visit' dining voucher, and the '25% off' accomodation vouchers.

Only the 'breakfast for Two' and the $100. & $50. dining vouchers carry the 'non-transferable' reference.

I think it was a good decision to renew. I feel I got my money's worth last year ...

Non transferable accommodation vouchers went out several months ago. Based on the PP site, I would expect that even new members get transferable accomodation certificates.

My husbands membership expires in 3 weeks...... A rep called and went on and on and on about the benefits. Called him a "foundation member" and promised more benefits than anyone else! he would throw in a bottle of wine voucher too. told him too call back when hubby home but wouldn't take no. .... I said goodbye :)

He called again the next day, I recognised the Sydney phone number. I pretended I was a babysitter..... He said to get either of us to call him ASAP as it was "urgent"!!!!

We don't need the renewal yet, as I have just renewed mine at a 50% discount, so will wait for the offer to come through again. It is unbelievable deal even at full price, I think we get about $2-3 K of savings using it annually.

Also curious with this one? Any idea when the March newsletter deals are bookable?

They are normally monthly at the start of the month, although same places have longer options like the IC Fiji and Sanctuary Cove who ran until Feb ( in theory).

I was amused to read some whinges about PP not offering 'swimming pool privileges' at the IC Sanctuary Cove ( Ex Hyatt ).

Apparently, the previously administration allowed their 'club' card holders access to the site pools - without having to be a registered house guest !!

Yes it was called 'club at the Hyatt', like a mini PP scheme just for that hotel, dining and accom discounts and pool access with two membership cards for about $300 per year. I still have friends who have this, apparently the IC will honour until expiry, no details if the IC will offer same, I would think not given all the PP/PC offers for the IC SC.

Sounds like a nice little scheme!

Which whingers? On another thread I read something similar, but I thought the whinge was about non-staying guests monopolising the pool at the Marriott. The Marriott card never allowed pool access so that was a genuine gripe (IMHO) but the Hyatt Club card certainly allowed pool access and as such, taking said benefit away after people had paid their money for the card is also a genuine gripe. ICSC would be right to continue to allow this until the cards expire. We had one for years and used it extensively, but one must always remember the ICSC is not exactly in the thick of things and I can't see that Hyatt card benefit causing undue problems for staying guests and the day guests will become fewer as each month passes.

I was referring to the IC SC FB site ... ( though, didn't actually say so ).

Apparently IC SC will honour all 'Club Hyatt' Memberships until they expire - there will be no renewals.

The "whinge" comes from those ( or a select few ) Hyatt card-holders, who were "greatly disappointed" etc. that PP doesn't allow for 'pool usage' at the now IC SC.

One wag stated, 'why would I bother joining PP, if there was no POOL RIGHTS ' !! ( doesn't that say it all ?? )

Obviously posts made by those too tight to join the country club! Got to say the changes management are putting in place are quite surprising, I did not expect too much to change and its a very pleasant surprise, hope some of the staff drift to other Australian ICs, their service ethic is sorely needed! I wonder if guests still have access to both courses, might have to check it out later this week, I can afford to lose a few balls LOL

I have a question regarding joining and the benefits . If I'm currently at the hotel and join online can I get half price off my meals and room service when I check out tomorrow ? Do I just give them my membership number and then they take half off . Dining with two guests of course .

Ta.

Once you have a valid membership number and your account is activated, that's enough to get dining discounts (you don't need the card) from that point on. You don't get discounts on room service.

Edit: The above took 2 days for me and PP can email you a letter to validate your membership at hotels.

So if I join now I contact pp and tell them to give my details to the hotel to get the discount on check out? Even tho its a weekend they can still do that ?

Can I also stack this with the proirty club dining rewards benefit for spending over $40- receive a bonus 2013 points?

You have no chance of getting any PP discounts until you get your number, Monday at the earliest, and the discount needs to be applied at the time the bill is charged to your room, not later.

As per markis10. And PP discounts tend to be "can not be used in conjunction with any other dining discounts or offers, e.g. Kids Eat Free at Holiday Inn", although the hotel has let me at times combine offers.

Thank you I might wait until during the week to join and use the benefits on my next visit . Does the bogo stay still give points for two night stay . And if I'm dining with family two adults and two children does that count as (4) guests or (2)
