Was boarding at the lower gates,I think gate 7 last Thursday. Nice to see they have caught up with other capital cities. I am not sure if the gate up near the lounge have that premium boarding yet? Space is pretty tight in that corridor.

Sent from my GT-P7500 using AustFreqFly

Yep, they had those pretty purple signs at gates 5 & 6 when I flew them on Friday from CBR.

Add this to Hobart and Gold Coast and one could be forgiven for thinking DJ are rapidly finalising the roll out of premium boarding at all airports. How many still don't have it?

according to their website it's in "Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Mackay domestic airports" and "Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide international airports" -- seems like there are plenty of airports left to go!

where do you think it should go next? all the places i fly to are covered...

Due to the gate areas being small, here is my take: Keep J/PE/Plat/Gold in the lounge until the last passenger has cleared the jet bridge then make the announcement. Or call for them, wait until they have cleared the jet bridge then make the announcement for the remaining passengers.

When I flew last Tuesday, I didn't notice the priority area. Same for on my return on Friday (exiting through Gate 6 which was crowded at the time).

Yes, the young guy at the reception did this last Friday afternoon for my flight to Mel (who seems to always be there - have to look out for his name next time cause I think he's fantastic). He kept his eye out for the line and waited til the it was clear before calling the flight in the lounge. Great work :)

"Experienced" premium boarding at OOL last week. All good in theory; the CSA was on the far right next to the "ordinary" lane and had to keep leaning over in front of the tourists to collect priority boarding passes and the tourists were not happy, in fact, many pushed in with lud objections! Won't be long before there is a punch up, I am sure.

The CSA was doing a great job of trying to board priority passengers, enforce the rules and keep the great unwashed at bay. Well done that girl!

Hi VA
Loving the premium boarding - definately keep it! It doesn't seem to take up any space, and at this stage I think CBR is fairly light on status holders. Nothing worse than leaving the lounge and having to shlep up around the ramp because the queue is so long.

PB in CNS is called over the speaker and priority pax are allowed to board before the GP,Is it possible for CNS to have PB? As DJ never use the same gate?

It is good, but doesnt work for the ATR gates downstairs. You just have to join the queue. So please roll it out downstairs too DJ!
