Power socket on the A380

I know the 380 has power sockets, and I know they are US 2 pin, but is it just a 2 pin or 2 pin and a round earth?
I don't want to take an earthed cord with me and find that there is no hole for the earth pin and I can't use it.

I thought they were standard Australian three pin plugs.

Because why would airbus make an international aircraft with australian sockets, when they are only good in Australia.
We all know that US sytems and configuratiuons dominate the world!
Plus I have read they are US sockets on this forum, it just did not say which US socket.

Airbus already has . From Fly - Onboard - Communication

PC power is available in First, Business and Premium Economy on selected international B747-400 and in Business on all international A330-300 aircraft. This system provides 110V AC (60 Hz) power and accepts most household power plugs including: Australian 2 or 3 pin, European 2 pin, Japanese 2 or 3 pin and USA 2 or 3 pin. Customers using UK 2 or 3 pin plugs need to use an adaptor

for the 380, the webpage isn't clear but I believe it takes normal Australian plugs in economy; can't recall the 1st/business sockets but wouldn't be surprised for it to be same as the 330

They have a socket that fits Australian and US and European plugs, but not British/Singaporean/HKG, IIRC.

There is a hole for earth.

The socket is an international one and will accept Australian plugs (but not UK plugs). There have been some reports of some Australian plugs not touching the contacts properly though. Also power draw is restricted to 75W I believe, so if you have a 90W laptop charger it may trip the circuit.

The plug isn't internationl - but the socket is! Saves us all having to emulate yet more problematic yankees!
