Posting of SQ flights to Velocity

both legs have credited, just 180 short of another year of platinum and 5 months to go :)
have an upcoming trip to SIN with family pooling all covered!!

Hopefully you won't have a repeat performance of having to chase up Velocity to get credited for your upcoming flights:) Are they booked as VA flights or are booked directly with SQ?
 
Hoping someone can give me some insight.

I booked via the VA website, flights to Chengdu China. I have a VA booking and codeshare number (SQ and MI flights) but the return boarding pass was printed on Air China boarding pass (with SQ and MI flight #).

I have typed the info and scanned the boarding pass because last week I was told hubby wasn't on the flight and tonight I get an email saying they are Air China flights so no points/SCs.

Other than pointing out the bloody obvious again to them (they were VA marketed flights) what the hell can I do to get retro to sort this out?

Did you raise the points claim online first ?

A PM to the Velocity rep with the flight details / ticket number can be helpful ;)
 
Well, having been on the phone for 1hr so far, I can say I've heard an entire Michael Buble album but finally someone seems to agree that we were on VA flights. No resolution yet but I seemed to have hit the customer service gold with a lovely lady named Trish.

Fingers crossed.

Last night I was on the phone for a little over 90mins and hubbys 3 flights were resolved and SCs and points in his account while I was talking with the lovely Ms Trish. Email feedback to VA Customer Service has been sent saying thank you.

This morning, 50mins on the phone with VA for my lowly red status missing flights yielded nothing but a please wait another 5 to 10 days. I was also told by the very american voiced Eugene that my claim wasnt even on the system but I have an email last night saying it was denied so who knows what is the truth.

I swear this was easier when I didnt care about SCs and they would just show up eventually or not, I never use to look.
 
i family pool and always use my WP line to claim points / SC for better half since we are on same PNR (90% of times) and we family pool. Much easier to resolve via WP line.
 
We also family pool and always fly together so when I can get hubbys flights resolved while talking on the phone to the VA rep and then I get told my flights have to be 5-10days and make a another claim I asked them why the difference between the two processes but the answer was, "dont know".

Hubby is gold (waiting for gold team to retro review dates to give him WP) and I tried to get them to handle my flight query but was told back to red helpdesk for you. We dont need the sector or credits but the points would be nice, Im hoping to book some reward seats but have to be patient.

In the hope that Virgin Australia / Velocity staff are not only monitoring postings but also taking heed of the feedback,especially from their Platinum guests. Having submitted a retro claim I have been waiting 4 weeks for SIN-FCO status credits and points for myself and my wife. All sectors flown on SQ were booked as VA codeshare flights and points have been credited for MEL-SIN and FCO-SIN sectors. This is just one of my coughes about the deficiencies in the VA codeshare with SQ. Other coughes include that you cannot get early seat assignment therefore today we are in row 51 SIN-MEL.
