Is there any Australia Post mailbox airside in T1?

I know there is a store and mailboxes on the arrivals floor (moved from Departures a while back) but can't recall seeing any postboxes. I will be in transit and I'd hate to have to go through AQIS especially if there is a queue just to mail some documents. I suppose I could leave it with the good folk at the lounge.

As of Sep 2009 I can tell you there is one red post box in departure after immigration and x-ray scans, it is before you walk through the duty free area, just after x-ray.. on your left... (near the water fountain...)

Near gates 22 and 52 there is a post box.

They're big red ones too! Based on serfly's reply though, I hope they still get emptied ;-)

Though given there's a large post office out the front, they do have staff there so I'd expect so.

Just interested, where is this stated officially then? ;)

It was announced in one of the Monthly updates from Qantas about 2 years ago. Despite numerous searches of my mailbox and this site, I can't find either the email from Qantas or the thread here about it...

From May 1st 2005.

It was announced in an email send 31st March 2005:
Increased security arrangements

Please note that from 1 May 2005, due to enhanced security arrangements, Qantas Club staff will no longer be able to accept postal, couriered or other items from, for, or on behalf of, lounge members and guests. We thank you for your understanding of this new policy.
