Looks like I screwed up turning off pooling from my partners account (dodgy free WiFi :/)

Has anyone had any success reversing the pooling of SCs once they've already been allocated/pooled? If so, who needs to call up the person with pooling turned on or the recipient of the pooling?

Cheers

The Ts and Cs say they are not reversible and I am not aware of anyone that has asked. Not helpful I know but good luck in trying. Let us know the outcome.

I know someone who set up their pool backwards (ie pooled to his wife, rather than from his wife). The mistake wasn't realized until after the first flight posted to the account, but Velocity did fix it up for him.

I switched a pool while in transit once. The pool changes instantly but of course the VA system couldnt work this out so when awarding the SCs after the trip they awarded them all to the new pool.

I called up VA and explained (I saw it as VA's fault not mine) and they moved the SCs around. I was sternly told 'each Velocity members gets one chance and one chance only to override a pooling so you cant ask for anything again'. This was several years ago....

Wow, just had an extraordinary call - I just spoke with Daniel at the (I presume) Plat desk. He told me that no Velocity members members had EVER had their SCs moved in that way as it was utterly impossible on the system (Obviously not an IT savvy kinda guy). I pressed the piont saying I knew of at least 2 people who have managed it. He entrenched saying it was impossible even with an escalation (it's like he was daring me to escalate! :p).

I asked him to explain how other people claimed to have done so and he suggested I double check with them as it was utterly impossible to do so on the system, reiterating that no customer ever had done so.

As a side note I also asked him about the habitual $4+ overcharge on web bookings - he said he'd never heard about it and that the total price was correct but that the return fare was displaying incorrectly and that as such it wasn't an overcharge!
I pointed out that if a fare is advertised at a certain price and then the system used a different price to calculate the total that it actually was an overcharge regardless of why the numbers we're incorrect. He seemed unimpressed and told me to email the feedback from the website!

What's going on?! :/

I am sure that there are heaps of VFF members who had had their SC's manually adjusted, including myself. I don't think Dan is your man on this occasion. :(

VA tell me they cant do things all the time (like link two separately available award flights that are not showing up together onto one award booking). I ask them to escalate it and call me back when they can do it (I have no desire to sit on hold while they try and figure it out). Works every time

I'll give it another shot I guess. I hate that... where's the consistency of service?
I'll ask for Dan next time I need an answer that combines that subtle blend of arrogance and ignorance.

Could you perhaps explain what you mean here? I just had a quick look at the VA website and it seems to be working properly.

Occasionally the total price is several dollars more than the two one ways.
