Off topic, but found this link, helarious.

Ryanair - Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia

Where at all possible, Ryanair does not use major airports; instead they use remote minor airports, often a long way from the intended destination. Failing that, they simply land wherever there is space. For instance, Ryanair recently started to serve Chesterfield, England, by using the town's bus station as a departure lounge, with the adjacent Markham Road being used as a runway. Ryanair claims to have invested heavily in such 'airports' by adding safety features such as loudspeakers playing Irish folk music to warn of approaching aircraft.

some idea's for Tiger....

Been tempted to try the low fares of TT, but then you hear reports like this.
FWIW I will stick with either the Red Rat or Vermin.

.

My way of thinking is if an airline creates a schedule and then wont fly a plane due to poor loadings, it's a bit like advertising an item for sale but not really having the stock to sell.

Lots of businesses do this. Furniture retailers are notorious for it. I recently had some "words" with a furniture store manager after being told if i didn't buy and pay on that day they wouldn't guarantee delivery until "probably around Easter"...and that was in September.

I'm not trying to justify it, I think it's inexcusably dodgy, just pointing out its unfortunately not unique to the airline industry.

Personally I don't really care if Tiger get people to jump off their planes mid flight to save costs on landing!

I think it has been publicised enough that you run the risk of a travel nightmare by flying them (my sister has been at the hands of a cancelled flight and no options provided) so if you decide to risk it that is your prerogative.

Don't get me wrong I love reading these threads for the amusement factor ;):p

Nothing really new in this thread.I have previously reported on TT bumping pax on an overbooked MCY-MEL flight on a Sunday and rebooking them on their next flight-Wednesday.

Tiger have, in my opinion degenerated from a poor LCC to a joke :!:
Agree although Tiger will be around as long as passengers continue to purchase low airfares and be prepared to put up with delays, cancellations and poor customer service.

Personally I believe the longer Tiger hangs around the better off the rest of us are going to be with other airlines keeping airfares lower....
