Points upgrade of O class

Hi there, I’m new on here and after advice. Travelling between Australia and US in
November and wonder if there is any way to upgrade from economy to business with QFF points on an airfare accidentally booked in O class? I know this is usually not possible by surely there must be a way....
Do they allow pay to upgrade fare and then points upgrade? Is it worthwhile? Thanks very much.

Yes, you can pay the fare difference and associated change fees, then request a points upgrade.

Is it worthwhile?

No, considering there's no guarantee your points request will clear it's usually not worthwhile.
