Hey!

My wife and I used our Velocity points for the first time ever and booked a one way flight from Melbourne to Rome (via Abu Dhabi) on Etihad codeshare.

For our return leg, we paid full fare Athens - Abu Dhabi - Melbourne, again on Etihad.

Just trying to figure out what Status Credits and Points these flights will net us in the end and not having much luck trying to figure it out myself.

Thanks in advance

For the flights using points you won't receive any status credits or points.

For your return leg it depends on which cabin/fare class as to status credit and points earn.

Athens - Abu Dhabi (2,018) will be either 20/40/60/80 discount economy/full fare economy/premium/business or first
Abu Dhabi - Mel (7,245 miles) will be either 40/80/120/160

The points are a bit harder as there are many fare classes and they all earn different points

E,T will earn 0.25 points
V,U,G will earn 0.5 points
K,M,Q,L will earn 0.75
Y,B,H earn 1
Z is 1.15
W is 1.3
J,C,D is 1.75
F,A,R is 2.5
and P (The Residence) earns 4 points

Also if you've booked VA codeshare you will also get status bonus

Correct.

I do believe the any seat rewards earn points and status credit, but these are quite a lot more points and represent terrible value
