Points + Pay and double status credits

Hi All

As Qantas are currently running double status credits till Friday 22nd Feb, I am trying to get to Platinum for the first time.
I have a couple of flights to book which are work related, but can't put a Flex fare through with them, so am looking to use Points + Pay to reduce the cash cost.

If I booked a couple of Flex fares and used Points + Pay to reduce the cash part,
1. Will I earn Full Status Credits for the Flex Fare
2. As we are currently in Double Status Credits, would I also get them doubled.
I need the double credits.

Double Status Credits questions are best asked in the dedicated thread: QF Double Status Credits - Book by Feb 22, Travel Feb 25-Aug 31, 2019

But anyway, you would earn DSCs for Qantas marketed & operated flights where status credits are normally earned. You do normally earn status credits on Points+Pay bookings, so I don't see why that wouldn't count.

Hmm. Sadly, I have no idea whether this is accurate or not as there is no mention of such an exclusion in the offer T&Cs. Qantas does sometimes give inaccurate info via its social media team and/or call centres.

I had this chat session with them and they agreed that Points and Pay does qualify for DSC's as long as QF metal etc.

Mike: My Question is if I pay with Points + Cash, do I still get the standard Status Credits.
And do I also get the double status credit as if I had paid cash.
EG. Sydney to Manila in Flex is 60 SC's or 120 Return, so would I get 240 SC's if I paid some in Points and some in Cash.

I appreciate your patience, Mike. If your flight is eligible for double your status credits you will earn double on your Status Credits for eg. you will earn 40 in using points and points plus pay it will just times two.

Mike: Great. So I am good to use Points + Pay and receive the Double status credits. Yes.

Yes, as long as you are book your Flight between 12.01am (AEDT) 18 February 2019 and 11.59pm (AEDT) 22 February 2019 and travel between 25 February 2019 and 31 August 2019.

I kept this session just in case.
So looks fine to me.
