Hi all,

Have recently submitted an online missing points claim for an AY trip I took to China. It was booked by a Chinese travel agent and so she listed it SURNAME/FIRSTNAMEMIDDLENAMEMIDDLENAME. (i.e. no space between first and middle names.)

Surname and first name are the same as on my QFF account which just has FIRST NAME, MIDDLE INITIAL, SURNAME.

The claim was rejected. It's for a decent haul of J SCs that would have me retain WP.

What can I do? It seems ridiculous. I went out of the way to fly AY purely for the SCs.
Thanks!

Yeah thanks, that’s worth a shot. Do you think it might be better to speak to a real person? Or that as a last resort.

Guess you could try either, I'd email in your evidence which the call centre may ask for anyway. I've read recent reports of long waits on hold if you're not WP.

I am still WP, thankfully, but past next year if this trip doesn’t credit!

Thanks for your help, I’ll start with an email.

Ah yep, forgot you wrote retain. Good luck and let us know how you get on. IME the rejected online activity notes aren't the final word and you should be fixed up fairly quickly.

I have seen AY points claims rejected for no apparent reason, which get fixed when you follow up. So this could just be that. Keep at it regardless - they let you on the flight with the name that way so they should definitely give you the points!
