Points deducted for refunds

The credit card conditions state that:

3.11 When you obtain a refund or reimbursement of an
eligible transaction (for example when you return goods
or cancel bookings which have been paid for and a
credit is issued to your account), any points allocated as
a result of that eligible transaction will no longer be
available and will be debited to your rewards account

I did the sums on a recent statement and found that I was still awarded the points for a refunded transaction. Can anyone else verify this?

Depends on the card issuer and their systems. Basically you got lucky and the least said the better.
