Recently did Adelaide - Auckland return, via Melbourne.
Fare was discount Y, but I opted to upgrade my return legs (Auckland -Mel and Mel - Adl) to J using points.
I'm looking at my current activity statement and I received points and status credits on the flight over in Y, but have received 0 points and 0 status credits on my return legs, but the J upgrade points have been deducted from my account.
Am I missing something here?
I've never had a points upgraded flight where I have not received at least the points and credit for the original fare!
I haven't called Qantas yet, but would appreciate any advice from others more knowledgable than me.

A fairly common error. Just ring Qantas and it is usually fixed up immediately.

Happens on occasion. Just a system bug. Give them a call and it will be fixed fairly promptly

Oops, beaten to the punch by HVR

You should still get points and sc's from the original fare. As the others said, just call up.

It also happens with AA flights. They are having dramas with the AA booking system where points/SC's don't go through even with QF flight #.
