Pocket wifi Japan

Hi all, just a query. Has anyone used this service whilst in Japan? and How good are the connections?

Hi,

I used Japan Mobile Rental, they were amazing!

The company I had lined up fell over at the last minute, I received an email in the (reef??) lounge in CNS stating they no longer had stock. 5 minutes filling out a web form with JMR and I almost had an immediate response with confirmation whilst walking to the gate.

I picked up the device at Osaka airport very easily. They did seem to have 3G and 4G versions available, I only needed basic email and Wordpress access so opted for 3G.

The connection was decent, I had to reboot it every now and then but apart from that decent.

I used Global Advanced Communications pocket wifi for 2 weeks in April and it was fantastic.
Sent straight to our first hotel, long battery life and coverage everywhere we went.

global advanced communications for me too, absolutely flawless and impeccable service.... the japanese do service extremely well!
