Platinum welcome pack

Hello,

I did search, but I couldn’t find anything on this, so hoping somebody with some experience can assist..

Qualified as WP on 27th January this year.. Unfortunately I haven’t seen my platinum card or baggage tags arrive. Does anybody have any recent experience about the time frame from the qualification to pack delivery..?

I qualified early Feb and haven’t received anything. Called them up today and was told there was some sort of IT systems change in January which may have prevented it being sent out. Said they would sort it out, so fingers crosssed…

Mine never came, eventually had to just ask for a replacement card and replacement baggage tag. They didn't seem like they'd send the whole welcome pack again.

Thanks for your advice, I just did the same in calling the frequent-flier number, waited 20 minutes for someone to take my call..

Was advised that they are not sending out welcome packs, despite what the Qantas website says and the only way to get either the new card or baggage tags is to request them directly

I qualified for Platinum last November. Have not received anything resembling a welcome pack (or even luggage tags).

I did not receive a silver or gold welcome pack, card or tags which I qualified for earlier in the year. I called up and they just sent me a tag.

Mid-October last year for me to qualify 1st time. I got one bag tag and Plat card sometime afterwards. Not excessively long wait but not immediate either.
When I qualified for Gold 2 months before that I got nothing, and with Silver years ago I got 2 x bag tags.

My OH qualified for silver last year and got the pack, they only contain one tag now and the card.

When I qualified for WP years ago I got my PS/SG/WP packs all at the same time and each contained two tags.

On a side note, I randomly got a replacement WP membership card through the post the other day, so they must have started sending them out again (my year ended in Feb).

My experience is the opposite. When I qualified for Silver/Gold (in April / June 2022 respectively), they sent me the whole welcome pack. But when I got plat in August, I got nothing.

I was looking for something just now and found the Gold card. Not sure about the bag tag but, I had put it with the plat bag tag. Life little mysteries

Probably give it three months, unless you need the physical card for some reason

I still have my Gold card which will work at least till end of the month. The main concern I have is not having that swanky Platinum card to flash in front of agents and say, "Do you know who I am?"

I don't get the affectation. As "World Platinum" isn't a QF status you may be waiting a long time.

Don't worry, he's got his photoshopped card which will TOTALLY be accepted at all locations and provided queue cutting priority for shower use at the world's best airport (LAX).

yeah thinks he's a funny man by continuing to push it and when we bite it's a "win"

So just like me, doesn't quite know where the line is (possibly due to cutting it) that a few times is amusing, but then it's just dull and annoying and, imo, devalues other potentially useful contributions.

well whatever floats people's World Boats I guess.
