Platinum sitting in economy - Do the airlines pay extra attention to us?

My flying has backed off since becoming redundant July last year but prior to that I was averaging a upgrade 5 out of 6 flights to London and half of those were non points upgrades, probably 1 out of 3 coming home.
I used to fly out on a Friday and back on a Friday so perhaps it was the timing.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Can’t speak for SYD but in BNE express path for arrivals doesn’t exist in the evening (I think it closes about lunchtime), but CX still routinely hands out the cards on the evening flight into BNE. This has been the case for several years.

With express path departures, since April the CX flights I’ve taken have the ‘e’ symbol printed on the boarding pass itself. I was told cards are no longer issued. Think QF at least is also doing this. Possibly not the case for all airlines.

True .. had nothing

Only seems to be on International flights. Otherwise “Welcome Back...”
On domestic flight now. Man sitting next to me was acknowledged and asked if he wanted anything. I was completely ignored. :)
