I'm just wanting to know if anyone has had experience flying between LHR and the US on Delta/Virgin Atlantic.
I'm wondering if you are flying on a Virgin codeshare with a Delta flight, would you get access to the LHR Lounge?
Also, if you are on a Delta flight from LHR (with a DL ticket), would you get access to the LHR Lounge (which is operated by Virgin)?

Plus ... if you are flying on a Virgin codeshare with a Delta flight has anyone actually got the points and Status credits? Technically the answer is no, but considering both are Virgin partners it would seem strange not to get the points.

You will only earn points/status credits if the flight is both marketed and operated by the same carrier, be that DL or VS.

If you fly on a VS codeshare opeated by DL, you will not earn (at least, by the rules, you won't). I would not expect lounge access either. The following are listed in the T&Cs for not earning;

- Codeshare flights (any flight with an VS flight number that is operated by an airline other than Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Australia).

- Codeshare flights (any flight with a DL flight number that is operated by an airline other than Delta, a Delta connection branded carrier or Virgin Australia).

Yes, that's how I interprate the T&C's which I have read but wondering if there are any experiences.

Only VA Platinum get access to the arrivals lounge at LHR.

No guests permitted.

As for the link, look at the * beneath the access list. It states only for VS operated codeshare flights. I personally interpret that as VS marketed & operated (or at least that is how I interpret the intent of the clause).

In any case I will be there in about a month, if I remember I can certainly ask at the lounge itself and report back.
