I'm moving to LHR in a week or so and will reach QF Gold once I arrive. I only just acquired Silver last month so I'm quite enjoying the rapid jump up the levels thanks to a couple of AFF-inspired J trips!

Firstly, a quick question about status renewal. My brand new Silver card says status is valid through to Aug '11 (I joined QF FF in Aug '08), will the Gold card that replaces it in a few weeks say the same date? Or will it push it out further?

I'd like some advice on my plan to requalify for SG starting from LHR please, to make sure it'll work.

I have a return flight to SYD in October for a family wedding, flying J, coming all the way through on BA09. As I understand it, that'll earn me 240SCs, but no "~"s.
I need to visit BNE whilst back here, so if I flew SYD-BNE-MEL-SYD on QF Y that would earn me 35SCs and 3 "~"s.
And if I return to LHR in J flying QF301 (BA metal) to BKK, and then AY96 to HEL and finally the hop across to LHR with either AY or BA that would net me 120 + 140 + 60 SCs and one "~" for the QF301 flight. Is that right?

That would total the requisite 4 "~" and 595SCs, and I'm sure I'll visit somewhere on the continent with BA before Aug 2011 to get the last 5SCs.

MileageMonkey gave me the SC earns, but is someone able to confirm that QF301 counts as a "~" and that the return routing of SYD-BKK-HEL-LHR on three different flight numbers will earn the total of the individual SCs for those three flights and not just the 240SCs for a SYD-LHR continuous flight?

Many thanks for your help.
