JAL's got new business class seats on the way, although not bound for Sydney, just London, New York and then other USA and European ports.

The PR shots have been out for a while, I think there was a link to an early article with these somewhwre here? (Mods, I can't see it but please move this post into that thread if it exists).

However AusBT got invited to JAL's Tokyo design studio to see the seats up close and take a bunch of their own photos, much better to see the 'real world' shots as they say without skinny airline-approved models sitting in them to make the seat look roomier!

Same problem as with SQ J - if you're over 6'2, don't bother.

Plenty wide which I like but I agree as a 6"3' person I suspect a 6"2' bed from hard wall to hard wall is going to be uncomfortable...

Mind you really shows that QF should be rolling out a Skybed Mk III with direct access and fixed large TV to its 747s, not the SkyBed Mk II with a dismal foldout TV (relative to new offerings) and a flat bed that develops droop.

Actually looks like a very nice seat and layout, if QF went this way then I'd have no issues with 2-3-2, but Skybeds just don't work well with that.
