Now that I have reduced all my clothes and toiletries to the bare minimum of one carryon bag, there is one problem that I need some advice on please.

With all the different leads, adaptors that are needed to power all the equipment that we take with us, has anyone an idea of something to store them in, something transparent so that negates the need to scrummage around in the bag for that one little USB cable that is needed, that comes out tangled with the other leads?

Any ideas fellow travellers?

Thanks,

I have a clear cosmetic zipped bag, purchased off ebay, that I keep my headphones, charger, hydralite powder, strepsils, hand wipes, passport, pen, a few bits and pieces in and this is small enough to fit into my handbag but basically I don't have to open my carry on/overhead once we are seated.

Similar to this but a bit bigger as I carry Bose headphones.

I know you can buy specific gadget storage bags but they tend to be solid colours and I like the see through.

I reckon that is the way to go, thanks for the tip, everything in one place and you can see what you are looking for.

thanks,

Looks as though I can get both, then I can do away with my pink iphone cover, that I bought so I could see it in my black carry on bag, poor eyesight being one of the pitfalls of becoming a senior person.

cheers,

Strewth ... thanks. Buying it (or several incarnations) tomorrow ...

I assume they will accommodate PC laptops of the same size as Apple stuff, without drama?

I have numerous amenities bags. I use several of these at a time, each for storing different sets of cables, devices. None of them are transparent. I know the contents.

I use a small drawstring bag for everything but the laptop power cord. A couple of usb cables and adapters, a charger with the relevant plugs for the countries I will visit and I am done.

Decided not to buy the back-pack, just the 'board' thing as my existing PC laptop bag is pretty good. Works really well for me! There's a zip pocket on the back for the really small stuff.

Mouse, HDD+cord, USB cord, USB and SD card
Car USB plug, iPag cord, phone charger plug, iPad plug, extended phone battery

Laptop cords and plugs have their own zipped pouch.
