Just remember when you order anything with chilli sauce you aren't gong to get what you would in Australia where we expect sweet chilli in a small quantity.

Well ...... we are incredibly grateful for the recommendation of Cave Creek. We are staying in a BnB called Full Circle Ranch and it is an absolute piece of paradise. Rather like Central Australia ... with cactus, coyotes and hummingbirds ... oh and Mexican food! Please thank your aunt. We even ate at her recommended restaurant by chance last night. Will try to upload a couple of photos. Thank you!

And met a local pilot today on the Cave Creek trail who gave us further recommendations for food..... the Spotted Donkey at Boulder was 10 mins drive and Mexican food was great there too. Off for a day trip to Sedona tomorrow then we’ve run out of time. Great place for a break from hot Aus summer. We will come back. The big golf tournament is on but it hadn’t had an impact on us .... unless that’s why hotel prices were so high when we started looking.

Sedona is stunning .... and close enough to drive there for the day. We cut it a bit fine by spending the morning at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin though, but how could we miss that?
