Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

What's to say that a person with a pet would not have Handled them, and not washed their hands before sitting down, then handling the area around their seat including the armrest and back of the seat in front of you!
Of course you wouldn’t wash your hands after picking up your pet, unless there was good reason too such as slobber, or poo or something.

Worse is humans not washing their hands after the toilet or coughing and then touching all those things!!

It's easy just wash your hands before and after flying and after the toilet.
But please don't be like the man I saw in Dubai washing his feet in the hand basin. And, no it wasn't prayer time.

You would then have to open the door, which involves touching the door.

And also, how many people actually wash their hands properly?

This is going off topic, but pet is just one of many factors. You don't need a pet to get Bali belly.

Agree, back to pets ,it would have to be traumatic for them being stuck on a plane. Immange if they got the dreaded middle seat.

And all the other things one would have touched:
X-ray trays
Seat belt
Overhead luggage store
Seat
Toilet door / handle of the plane

That's why people should just eat with cutlery!
Then again, perhaps they handled a pet in the terminal, (Bye Bye Fluffy!), and then boarded without it!
