Perth to Cape Town/Johannesburg no redemption?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering are there no flights from Perth to Cape Town or Johannesburg anymore? I saw it last month and can't find it anymore. Not sure if i'm looking at it wrong. I would like to travel Jan -April. I have velocity points. Thank you so much.

Assume you are looking with Qantas points right?
I managed to score 2 seats in business, SYD-JNB 14 March 23, at the time there were also 2 on 16 March PER-JNB, and quite a few dates available in May.
You won’t see anything onward to CPT, because the British Airways franchisee, Comair, just announced bankruptcy and has been removed from the network.

I see some. As an example:

There are no direct flights from Perth to Johannesburg on South African Airways any more.

You can still fly via Singapore or Doha with Velocity points. You might need to call in some instances where seats may be available but are not showing on the Virgin website (particularly for SQ redemptions).
