OK, first up, @Steady just checking that you aware in the DPRWA we have to produce proof of at least double-vaccination for entry to restaurants/bars?

Second, it is going to be a PERfect evening to be sitting outside tomorrow night. Glorious Indian summer weather at the moment with the big bonus of no raging sea breeze.

With the latter particularly in mind, here are some options:

Brown St Grill (Menu — Brown Street Grill) in the Bright Tank Brewhouse, 1.3km from the Pan-Pac. This place has seriously good food, much of it cooked on the wood-fired grill (Our Story — Brown Street Grill), which may be of particular interest to @Steady ;). It's run by Stuart Laws, a mate of my elder son and an ace chef. I ate there for the first time only a couple of weeks ago on the Friday lunch kick-off for my son's Buck's weekend.

The downside is a very limited winelist, as the the focus is the beer. That said, however, I bowled over a bottle of a very slurpable Clandestine Marg River Malbec (https://clandestinevineyards.com.au/product/malbec-2019/) that went super-well with the charry food.

It's down a quiet side street and there are a couple of tables outside, which may be a bit hard to snare, but inside is fun near the brewery vats.

A hip venue that would be my first choice for food.

The Royal (Waterfront Bar & Restaurant In Perth) at Claisebrook Cove in East Perth is 1.4km from the Pan-Pac and just a little way from Brown St Grill. It has quite a large outside area and has a scenic outlook across the river to Perth Stadium. @Steady, we've had one or two gatherings there, but I'm unsure of whether you've been there before. Food is usually quite good and a reasonable wine list.

Good for the outside summer evening vibe.

I'm only about 10 minutes from both those places by car. I could Uber but may very well drive, in which case I could pick up @Steady if the 1.5km stroll didn't suit. Or I may stick on a headlight and ride my E-bike on the cycleway along the river as I often do for lunches at The Royal.

The Grosvenor has been mentioned, and is very close to the Pan-Pac. Good pub food; can't go wrong.

Hadiqua (Hadiqa) and Goody Two's (Home - Goody Two's) seem to be the offerings at Hibernian Place, which is a short stroll from the Pan-Pac. But from the websites both seem more bar than restaurant-focussed.

Anyway, I reckon it's @Steady's call. All with the proviso that I can get a booking, so maybe give an order of preference.

Could I please get a hands-up of Platinum attendees ASAP.
Thanks for doing the legwork @JohnM - I’m up with the current Covid rules and regulations

i think the first 2 look great and either is fine by me.

as @FishFood is keen on The Royal maybe try for a booking there first then brown st grill as a backup

6:30 or 7 if that’s not to early for others?

I'd be keen in catching up if that works with the others. I havent' yet been to one of these !

Sure thing.

I'm going to close it off in the morning and make a booking at The Royal for 1830. Sunset in PER now is about then.

Another option, given the rarity of sensational evenings with no sea breeze, is Odyssea (City Beach Restaurants | Odyssea City Beach) at City Beach.

@Steady, your call if you want to watch the PERfection of the sun going down over the ocean (although maybe you've seen it often up north). I'll drive, so can pick you up.

Whatever we choose, I'll shut it by 0900 WST tomorrow and book what I can get.
