Perth Airport has opened a new split-level departures lounge to the public, doubling the size of its international departure lounge area.

The new departure lounge is part of the $145 million expansion and refurbishment of the Terminal 1 international departures area and has the capacity to accommodate passengers departing on two Airbus A380 super-jumbos at the same time.

Nice of them to open it up just in time for when I go through there in a couple of weeks

In other news seems there will be a direct bus service from the CBD to Perth Airport commencing in a couple of weeks.

Direct bus route from city to Perth Airport to start in two weeks

A new direct bus service linking the city to the Perth International Airport will welcome its first passengers in two weeks.
In a first for WA, the 40-minute daily service is expected to transport 1000 commuters a day.
The trip will cost travellers up to $4.50 and will depart from the Esplanade Busport every 30 minutes during the day and will run hourly at night

Watching the news i loved the comments made by labor (opposition party in WA), saying that the government should have setup long term parking at train stations for people using the train service to the airport.

The CBD to international terminal bus route (930) was announced in April 2014...
At this point, I'll believe it when I can actually ride it.
