I'm a Qantas Club member and taking a flight Perth-Broome at the end of October. Wondering if anyone has been able to access any lounges lately? I read that Perth QC was shut (hoping to be moved to Business lounge) and that Broome QC was open.

I'd appreciate hearing anyone's experience lately, so I know what to expect.

AIRwin is correct.

The service will be a bit different to normal - no self-service buffet food and you'll need to ask a staff member if you want anything. But they'll probably be doing plated dishes prepared to order in the business lounge in Perth. Booze available in the afternoon/evening.

There's some more info about the current service at Qantas lounges here - Great Food & Service at Reopened Qantas Lounges

Be good to get a trip report considering Broome is the hottest destination for us Perth residents.

I managed to score 4 J return award flights to Broome early November so be interesting to gauge the varying experience between QF & VA, fingers crossed VA lounge is Open by November.

At this stage, would say QF may come out trumps but hopeful that VA maybe a surprise!

I was in the Perth lounge last week. You should be moved to the business lounge. The lounge isn't self serve which I find to be a 100% improvement. The food is just as good or better than pre covid. Pizza after after 12 or 12.30pm. The Perth lounge is the benchmark compared to the Sydney lounge which i find to be complete rubbish.

Can confirm, Perth lounge is at pre-covid levels minus the self serve. I'm currently there twice a week and it's never been crowded, even with the QC closed (there is a sign directing people to use the business lounge, I assume this includes QC members). You can walk up to the buffet, wait behind a line and a staff member will hand you your selection on a prepared plate. You can also order from the staff while seated, which is a great improvement. Pizza is still being made!

In regards to Broome, you need to ask for access once you've passed security and they'll buzz you through the door. Very limited selection, no real food other than crackers, cookies and cheese. The usual regional lounge fridge with beer, wine, juice and soft drinks. Again, wait behind a line and the lounge attendant will hand you what you desire. I've been the only guest a few times, talk about attentive service! Only place with aircon in the airport.
