Hi All,

Following yesterdays border announcement and a subsequent change of my EK flight from PER on my SYD-PER-DXB_CDG routing I will be left in PER airport for a 22 hour period, reading the WA website any layover longer than 8 hours will be required to quarantine in a self quarantine suitable premises (which I don't have) or a quarantine centre, has anybody got any experience of this process and costs ect?

When is your flight?
No certainty your QF flight will be as now scheduled
Would give it a few days to settle down

So there are two parts here, the first is suitable premises:

Below is the definition for suitable premises, if you can find somewhere that meets this defintion then you'll be ok. I've heard of a few reports that stand alone houses on Airbnb meet the requirement so if you can find a standalone house on Airbnb that meets the requiements below then you could opt to stay there for the night.

Now obviously you'd need to pay for the Airbnb yourself so you may wish to opt for the WA gov run quarantine instead. Assuming your actual transit time between flights is 22 hours then it would be free:

So you've basically got two options, either book a house or similar for the night so you can isolate by yourself (potentially with access to fresh air/pool etc depending on where you pick) or let the WA gov shove you in a hotel which they'll pay for but you won't be able to leave the room at all for the entire time you're there.
