With the changeover to the new rewards levels there appear to be a few bargains that are likely glitches:

Too late ... GONE !!!

Still available for other dates, for instance Dec 27 to Dec 31 for 10 k a night, versus $537 per night paid.

Why me ????

Log in - check.
Go to Rewards - check.
Search for 'Sydney, Australia' - check.

Result = IC Sydney only. There is no other result for 'Reward' stays. Tried it for three different dates in 2013 - same result.

I'll do a 'clear cookies' etc.

I just used priorityclub.com without logging in, selected Old Sydney and dates, checked reward night tab when rates displayed then logged in.

AND THE BIG NEWS IS NEW YEARS DAY CHECKOUT IS NOW BOOKABLE!

$700 a night for 4 nights or 20000 points and $160 USD, might need time to think about that!

Your Reward Night Number is 10xx_xx_x

Well WTF is going on here ???

I've tried clearing cookies ( whole cough cleaner thing )

I can only get IC Sydney to come up.

I thought perhaps, the system is only recognising a request for AMB weekend cert.

I have tried every possible combination of links. I can't get anything other than IC Sydney to show up.

Could it be something to do with my log in? Previous searches for IC Sydney info perhaps?

It's still there! The rate description says minimum 2 night stay, but I had to book 3 nights (Check in 29/12/2013; check out 01/01/2014). You must search for at least these number of nights; if you try to search for 1 night stays you'll get the "nothing available" message.

Better jump whilst it's still there! Having just experienced this hotel for the NYE just passed, the rooftop view was excellent (even if crowded, but still better than being crowded on the street below!). Twin rooms and queen bed rooms available.

If you're even remotely interested, jump now - it is easily cancelled if you change your mind (30,000 points with no cash outlay, returned in full if cancelled before 6pm on your check-in date).

Bit of a shame that you can't book beyond 01/01/2014 (at least, today that's the deal).

Unfortunately don't have any points and not a member!

Can MR points be transferred? Is it worth buying points?

I got it !!

Finally ...

I was stuck in the Ambassador relm. Tried using just PCR page, and there it was ...

Well, I landed three rooms, for three nights - 90,000 points in total. Guess what that would be worth to book with $ in December ?? ( staying 29/12/13 - 01/01/14 )

Thanks Markis for the tip ...

*** I just added room number four. Family holiday to see the fireworks !!

Oh wow! Just booked 29 Dec to 01 Jan for 15000 points + USD$120. Unbelievable. Thank you, thank you!

Well, when I first booked my reward room last year, I paid the full 25k points per night, so it cost me 75k. Bit of a blunder on my part... but still better than the ~$750 per night cash rate that was going when I booked the room, or the ~$1,100 per night rate when it was getting closer to the date!

Of course, the hotel tried to get some back by spruiking their NYE seafood buffet dinner, including interlude time to be able to view the fireworks at 9pm and midnight from the rooftop, at a rate of at least $300 per head. Or their room service plates for NYE, like a cold antipasto plate going for $60 per platter. (Of course, you could do worse - NYE dinner at Quay restaurant was being flogged for ~$1,000 per head).

Had 30,000pts sitting there not know what to do with them. Have just booked the 3 nights like everyone else. AFF Meet? :D

Try and book through ebates which offer 9% cash back, PC pay the prevailing rack rate to the hotel for award stays if they hit 80 percent occupancy, so the possibility exists you could actually be paid more than what it costs you to stay, don't count on it but look at it as a bonus :).

I posted on the other thread that the availability has gone, but it seems others have been booking it. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, it says rooms not available, change dates!

Try the dates listed above over NYE.

Did you try to book the min. three nights ??

Won't work for just two nights, apparently.

Which dates have you tried? Make sure you try searching for at least 3 nights. I'm having success with check-in 29/12 and check-out 01/01.
