Hello,

My Canadian passport expires in about a year's time (September 19, 2023) and I have the following travel booked:
  • Sydney to Christchurch in December
  • Sydney to Auckland in January
  • Sydney to Zürich (transiting Abu Dhabi) in April 2023
  • Zürich to Canada in May 2023
I then plan on renewing my passport when I'm back in Canada in May. Checking online I see that I should be fine as New Zealand and Switzerland only require 3 months of validity after planned departure from country. Unsure about Australia but even if it is 6 months that should be fine since my last entry into Australia before heading to get my passport renewed is January 2023.

Whilst I can certainly get my passport renewed here, I would prefer to get it renewed at a specific Passport Canada back in Canada so I don't have to go through all the red tape with US CBP to fix my travel documents.

Am I missing anything here?

Sounds like it’s a question on Canadian rules. Presumably so long as your passport is still valid, they’ll let you board the plane from ZRH to Canada?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
