Is "Nat Pelech" a news reporter also? "Jodi Lee" who tore her Achilles' tendon is but I couldn't find any info that the windowless seat occupant was connected with the media.

Oh, maybe not. I thought she was. So I owe a retraction for the quip about abuse of position! I should read a bit better rather than "skim" as I see the other was not a cruciate tear...........oh well, that's what happens when a mere male tries to work, plan holidays and read forums all at the same time......we just can't multitask without errors left, right and centre! (So I think I'll forget the lot and go to a nice little restaurant and have lunch)

I will. The nice little restaurant has turned into the RSL so Lisa is not that impressed, but it's close and I do actually have to get back and do some work at some point today!

It wasn't on Business Insider. That story was the "Windowless seat".

The news reporters story was on News Ltd . I also read elsewhere that she's had a sideswipe at them for publishing it.

I genuinely think she was having a rant about the upgrade failure as a private individual without any regard for the consequences of a public post on Facebook.

There's a sad irony that the OP being a person in the media is having a go at the media (News Ltd) for publishing the story. No longer is there 'honour amongst thieves' it would seem - well not at this time of year.

She's pretty silly in thinking she can be a private individual at her whim and not think beyond her rant as to the possible consequences.

Never before in the reader comments of an article have I seen unanimous responses all on JQ's side.

Wonder when her contract at WIN is up for renewal if she'll get the dreaded "best of luck with your future endeavours" letter.

Let's all hope that this WIN TV woman never gets promoted.

Then again, in the 'victim hungry' Australian media, maybe she's the right person for any job...

So if I have this right Russell will be on Jetstar and this news women will be on Tiger in future?

I haven't really flown extensively. I've flown to the UK twice and a few domestic flights. But I can't say I've ever noticed a rattling flight attendant.

She's no longer at WIN.

Source?

And unfortunately has also probably made herself unemployable in the media industry - such is the power of a Google search of her name.

Oh no she's employed. In the media industry. Source is rock solid. After all, it's my industry too.

If all reporters were deneyed employment because they make silly comment, we'd have no reporters. Surely suggesting she shouldn't get promoted/should not be employed in the media industry/should be sacked is all a little bit extreme. After all, we've all likely had trips where we moan and groan and then after a good nights sleep, we realise that there was little to complain about and we were obviously tired/jetlagged and coupled up to a whY seat with an all day recliner in front! At least I know that I've been guilty of it!

So she's not at WIN any longer but has already got another job in the media?

Correct. New job in a new state. Not even sure she was still employed by WIN when this fiasco occured tbh. No doubt her name will pop up soon enough. Social media can be a real cough.

Oh absolutely. If everyone who posted idiotic things on social media or email was punished like that I would be living on the street for sure.
