Yes star alliance has an asia pass as well.

It depends what you want to do. A xASnn could be a better option.

Oneworld Circle Asia and South West Pacific. Similar rules to a RTW trip. 13,000 mile and 17,000 mile options (xAS13 or xAS17).
Up to 8 flight sectors.
Start in one of, and travel in one direction through each of the following regions
North East Asia (Taiwan, China, Japan and S. Korea)
South East Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia)
South West Pacific (Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea)

I normally get a DAS13 (normally CBR-SYD-HND-ITM-HND-SIN-MEL-CBR) to connect to/from my yearly DONE3.

Whats the benefit of using a xASnn to connect to/from a DONE3?

Thanks for the tip.

Looks like 4 stopovers permitted on an xAS13

Why do you do a xASnn to connect to/from a DONE3?
DONE3's ex-Japan or Korea are cheaper then ex-AU. DONE3's ex AU are only available for AU/NZ-South America-Africa and require the use of LATAM's GRU-JNB and LATAM/QF SCL-AKL/SYD/MEL.

A DAS13+DONE3 gives me more stops in Asia, more flights overall and makes it easier to go to the places I want to.

Sorry what’s that

Route would be SYD-KUL-JPN-SYD.
Syd = start and end
KUL = necessary
JPN = airport agnostic
Extra transit stops agnostic

Alliance agnostic, not a MR

Not LCC if possible

If that is all you're doing, this might be able to be done on a MH/JL mixed fare. PM me what you want and I'll see if it works.
