I'd love some clarification, if anyone can help me. Do you still get OW benefits (like lounge access) on MH codeshare flights using non-OW metal? For example, non-OW codeshare flights are now tagged as MH5000 series flights, such as an MH coded flight on FY (Firefly) or SQ metal.

I'd be interested to know as well, my guess is no, but then again some airlines have different rules. Might be worth asking on mas twitter for a quick proper answer.

Isn't the general rule that OW benefits only apply when you are travelling on a flight that is both marketed and operated by a OW airline?

Yes but ow airlines are still free to expand the rules for their own customers, ie. Jetstar lounge access for eligible qff members, Fiji airways lounge access for golds and plats plus points/sc's earning even though they aren't OW .

MH Enrich T&C indicate benefits apply to only Malaysian Airlines operated & marketed flights, so if MH Enrich doesn't provide benefits to it's own members they wouldn't provide to OW elites from other programs either. Best shot, if you had lounge access by virtue of the operating carrier (eg try entering SQ lounge with SQ boarding pass ... subtitled with MH code .. and VA gold card).

Thanks for the replies. I thought as much.

I flew from Seoul to KL a few weeks ago on Korean Air and didn't get any benefits. No QF miles either so am now in the process of asking MAS to credit the miles against my Enrich account which they are slow to agree to.

It seems a lot of economy booking classes don't earn QFF miles so apart from lounge access I can't see any benefits you get flying on them. I wonder how it goes for Enrich elite members flying on QF?
