Overview of Best Qantas Status Run Options [not the discussion thread]

Has anyone had the double status credit promo yet? The one where you had to book a few months ago and travel after July 1? I just did my first segment of a status run and the points and credits have appeared but t not double.

Yes. Mine was a two sector trip. The bonus SC credited around 48 hours after the first segment. The bonus SC for the second segment are you to credit, but there was a weekend... so I'll give it another day or so.

Noticed PER to NOU return in J for ~$1100 is on again. Also J fares to NZ from PER for ~$1300 - $1400 return. Not bad little SC earners.
Dates? I can't get it to price anywhere near that. The QF fare page for PER has NOU at $1103 one-way, you're not confusing it with that are you? I've checked QF site, ITA Matrix and Google Flights. What am I missing?

You're missing one really important fact. I'm an idiot :( Sorry for wasting your (or anyone else's) time. Those are in fact one way, and not return. I'll edit my post.

Re: Best QF Status Run Options - Questions and General Discussion

If it's of any use to others, here's the SC earn rates for the ex BKK sales. THB fares pulled direct from MH and exchange rate used is 1 AUD = 26.09 THB fwiw

@Moindardt alerted me to this fare... and it's my job to abuse it...

980 SC's return is the maximum I can get to WLG or ZQN if anyone's interested. 1 stopover in each direction permitted as long as it's not in DXB. Max 30 days per stopover.

$3.33 AUD/SC.

PM me for the routing.

How do you get to Cairo and back and what then is the net $$ per SC when taking those extra costs into account?

That would depend on where you might be coming from... this is most ideal for those that might already be in Europe as CAI is easy to get to from Europe.

I'm not suggesting that people fly from AU to CAI just to fly this ticket... but if you were that keen then it'd probably raise the cost to about $5/SC.

Around $475 for J class return LGW-xMAD-AGP (also look at vv) for 200 SC. Might be useful for some based in or travelling to Europe.
This one involves an overnight in MAD but there are other options.

Was that quoted in pounds originally? If so, how much in pounds? I was about to pull the trigger on a BA ex LGW for around 170 pounds for 120 SCs. The BA service departs in morning so the overnighter in Madrid is a bit of a killer for someone time pressured

It's in the screenshot, £272.

You could look at going non-stop in one direction and to the trip in a day for fewer SCs if time is a factor.
The fares seem to have gone up since I first posted.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I2 have some decent "business promo" fares between MAD and the Canaries at the moment. I just booked MAD-TCI/LPA-MAD in Feb for €302 - about $460, earns 120 SCs at $3.83 / SC.

Of course you have to get to Madrid first ;)
