I've been looking through to see if other threads cover this but unfortunately haven't been successful.
Looking at a RTW itinerary for departure in mid 2024 (may) for a year long trip through Europe UK Caribbean USA and Canada - what is the best plan for booking RTW revenue tickets as the 2nd half of the trip is not able to be booked yet.
Book now and change flights as schedules are released?
Wait to book? Or book more individual flights rather than a RTW ticket?
Can you open JAW RTW tickets?

Thanks in advance for responses or steering me in the direction of a thread to assist.

A lot of that depends on which RTW ticket you are looking at. Each of the major airline alliances has their own RTW products, as do a number of single airlines. There are also RTW tickets available from small groups of airlines that otherwise aren't part of the same alliance. (for example, LH has a ticket which partners with CX, SQ, QF, AC, UA and NH)

They all have different rules. Some allow flexible flights, others don't. Some allow land segments. Some allow starting and ending in different cities (as long as it is the same country/continent), others require starting and ending in the same place.

We'll need to know more about your plans, including if you have any frequent flyer program memberships, before we can give any useful information.
