We are booked in April ADL-SIN arriving 15:10 then at 09:00 next day SIN-LHR. With airside Aerotel reservation but can't find information about whether our bags can be booked straight through to LHR or whether we have to collect them and recheck them the morning of the LHR flight. Would appreciate your advice if you've recently had similar overnight transit. Thanks

I think one of the criteria is that a transit is on the one ticket. If you have different carriers, its possible there might be a wrinkle in meeting the transit requirements (eg no interline agreement).

"Under current government regulations, when transiting at Changi Airport on arrival and departing flights operated by different airlines, tickets for both flights must be made on the same booking itinerary. Furthermore, the passenger’s checked-in luggage at the origin airport must be tagged-through to the final destination."

Assuming you meet the criteria for transit, then there should be no reason for the check-in luggage (not) to be checked through to LHR.

Edit : missing not

The transit from 15:10 - 09:00 the next day at SIN is a valid transit.
However, is the entire journey on a single PNR? If so, the baggage will be checked through all the way to LHR.
However, if it's on two separate tickets (ADL-SIN then SIN-LHR), the check-in agent *may* tag the bags all the way through, however you will be flouting SIN's transit rules which state that:
Booking a Flight - Single Tickets and Complying with Entry Requirements

Customers should book the full journey on one ticket, instead of splitting it up into separate tickets, to comply with regulatory requirements during this period. They should also ensure that they meet the entry requirements for their final destination.
Good luck!

Thanks for your answer, yes our tickets are SQ booked through ADL-SIN-LHR.

A similar query recently. I think the anecdotal, unofficial answer is yes it can be done. See Pointy Bird's reply in particular. Transferring in Singapore with 2 SQ redemption bookings
yes - I have done this many times as I often have 2 separate bookings for my 2 legs. They have never refused to tag the luggage to my final destination - never even suggested that the rules were being bent for me. Not sure if they were being extra helpful because I was at the pointy end...

Thanks, we will also be at the very pointy end (for the SIN-LHR leg) so I would hope there is no issue, but in these Covid times I just thought it would pay to check with others.
