Interesting. I purchased two fares MEL-HKT return with a stopover in KUL on MH a couple days ago.

The MH website wanted $869 for the flights and dates I wanted.

Going via skyscanner to an OTA, I got the same flights on the same days for $774.
 
I generally use the MH website only if I need to book an eligible fare class for QF earn...
